Torta Caprese

Torta Caprese! Did you know there were more Italian desserts than only Tiramisu? :p This is one of them,  I've also noticed that Italian recipes use a lot of almonds! It's normally round, but I made a square one...

- 2 eggs
- 1 tbs almond liqueur
- 65 g sugar
- 100 g ground almond
- 65 g dark chocolate
- 65 g butter
- powdered sugar

Split the eggs in 2 bowls. Mix the egg yolks with the liqueur. Ground the chocolate and mix it with the ground almond. Melt the butter in the microwave and add it to the chocolate-almond mix.

Pre-heat the oven to 175 C / 347 F. Beat the egg whites until stiff peaks forms. Add the chocolate mix to the egg yolks, then fold the beaten egg whites in the mix.

Pour the mixture in a square mold and bake it in about 25 minutes. Let it cool and finish it with powdered sugar.
